ICME's annual research symposium will be held in-person on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. This event is for external partners and guests of ICME, alumni, Stanford faculty and researchers, students, and staff.

Every May ICME holds a Research Symposium providing an up-close and inside look at current research and future plans for ICME faculty and students. ICME is engaged with over 60 faculty from 20-plus departments throughout Stanford. This is a unique opportunity to see how computational mathematics, data science, machine learning, scientific computing, and related fields are applied across a wide range of domain areas.

Generative AI is the major theme of Xpo 2023. Machine learning, a core area of ICME research, is at the foundation of the spectacular recent developments that go under the label of Generative AI. Stanford has been at the cutting edge, and at ICME we see tremendous interest in understanding and contextualizing the latest research developments.

> Our goal is for you to leave Xpo with a better appreciation of ongoing research and newly-germinated ideas of how you may use it in your business environment.
