On Friday, May 18, ICME hosted ICME Xpo, our annual research symposium that provides an up-close and inside look at how cutting-edge research in computational mathematics, data science, machine learning and scientific computing are applied across a wide range of fields. Over 150 attendees from ICME industry partners, faculty and students participated.
This year, ICME Xpo included a morning Roundtable around the topic: Design for Data and Algorithms. The Roundtable, which featured a hands-on session led by the Stanford d.school, explored best practices and frameworks dealing with the design challenges around trust, bias, communications, privacy, usability and more. The afternoon began with faculty vision talks discussing a wide spectrum of domains and applications. This was followed by a poster session with 40 MS and PhD students presenting their work. Thank you to all who attended and participated.
More information about this event and videos of the faculty talks are available on the ICME Xpo page: https://icme.stanford.edu/events/xpo-roundtable-and-symposium
