Alma Mater: Princeton University

Kaya is interested in partial differential equations, algorithms, and optimization.

Zhen is interested in computational fluid dynamics and application in geophysics.

Alma Mater: Cornell University

Alkis is interested in using mathematical/physical principles to design better architectures for machine learning models to solve optimization problems or PDEs numerically.

Tim Baer

Alma Mater: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Tim is interested in designing scalable algorithms for high-dimensional problems in scientific computing. Especially in sampling from high-dimensional distributions, with applications to quantum circuit complexity and simulation.

Michael joined ICME because he wanted to work in collaboration with researchers across many disciplines.

Alma Mater: Ecole Polytechnique

Malo is interested in theoretical statistics, especially areas that connect statistical inference with optimization and distribution-free methods. Including topics such as PPI++, stationary points, and minimax lower bounds.
