ICME is proud to announce the formation of the Vanguard Scholarship in honor of Annie J. Easley, aimed at supporting and promoting rising stars in the field of computer science, data science and computational mathematics.

Annie J. Easley (April 23, 1933 – June 25, 2011) was a computer scientist, mathematician, and rocket scientist at the NASA Lewis Research Center. She was a leading member of the team which developed software for the Centaur rocket stage, and was one of the first African-Americans to work as a computer scientist at NASA.

This program is made possible by the generous support of Vanguard Fintech Ventures (VFV).  VFV explores emerging technologies to build new insights and new capabilities that can help Vanguard’s investors succeed well into the future.
