OVERVIEW
The ICME Career Forum is a unique event that brings together our students and Affiliate Program Members & Collaborators for a full day of networking and recruiting. Unlike any other career events offered on campus, the Career Forum introduces you directly to hiring managers and recruiters in a relaxed and intimate setting that you won't find at large-scale career fairs. If you are new to this event, here are a few reasons why you want to join this year:
- Get an inside look at companies and their work.
- Make connections with industry experts and recruiters.
- Explore internships and full-time positions across a wide range of industries.
- Gain insights during a summer internship that could be helpful in your research or in considering the right career path upon graduation.
- Practice networking, interviewing and learning about new opportunities.
We encourage you to look through the ICME Career Services Student Guide to Affiliates & Collaborators to learn about organizations.

[View map] Interviews will be held in Huang's Mackenzie Room and throughout the building. - Can any Stanford student attend the event?
The event is primarily for ICME graduate students along with invited students from affiliated ICME faculty and the Department of Statistics. - Why should I participate in the ICME Career Forum?
Participating in the ICME Career Forum provides numerous benefits, including the opportunity to network with representatives from leading organizations, explore potential career paths, and learn about job and internship openings. It’s also a chance to showcase your skills and qualifications, receive valuable feedback, and possibly secure interviews or job offers. Additionally, the forum helps build professional connections that can be beneficial throughout your career and provides an opportunity to practice soft skills such as communication, networking, and professionalism in a supportive environment. - What is the ICME Student Resume Book?
The resume book is a collection of student resumes submitted to us, which we share with our affiliated organizations on a quarterly basis during the academic year. - Can I resubmit an updated resume after the registration deadline?
Unfortunately, there will be no exceptions after the deadline. However, we encourage you to bring updated copies of your resume to the event. Additionally, we will send out a quarterly resume book throughout the year to affiliated companies and notify students if they can replace their resume with an updated one. - Are students guaranteed to get an interview?
Pre-scheduled interviews are not guaranteed for every student, as they are based on mutual interest and scheduling availability. However, there may be additional ways to connect with organizations, such as through open houses, information sessions, or other hosted activities. If you're particularly interested in a specific company, you can also reach out to Tanya Schornack with a brief message of interest and your resume and cover letter in PDF format—she will forward them to the appropriate company representative. - What happens during the networking breakfast?
During the networking breakfast, representatives from various organizations will be stationed at standing tables, each marked with their company's name. This setup allows students to easily identify and interact with the representatives. - What is the purpose of the open houses at the ICME Career Forum, and how do they differ from scheduled interviews?

Please check in at the registration table in the Huang Foyer at least 15 minutes before your interview. - What if I need to cancel my pre-scheduled interview?
