Gear up for fall recruiting and career fairs by building a strong resume and developing the skills to excel in interviews. Led by career experts from Stanford Career Education, this workshop will help students create clear, compelling resumes that effectively showcase their technical expertise, research, projects, and accomplishments for internship and full-time opportunities. Participants will learn current resume best practices, strategies for standing out to recruiters and hiring managers, and techniques for communicating their experiences with confidence during interviews. Sample resumes will be shared.
Plus, hear firsthand tips from recent ICME alumnus Mihir Karkare on navigating career fairs, networking events, and the recruiting process.
Designed for ICME and Statistics MS & PhD students, as well as PhD students advised by ICME-affiliated faculty, this career readiness primer workshop is limited to 40 participants. It is ideal for first-year graduate students building their career foundation and students nearing graduation who are preparing for internships and full-time opportunities. This workshop is highly recommended as a foundation for CME 299: Engineering Your Career Path: Career Readiness Workshops for Graduate Students.
