Popular Science has named ICME alum, John Gunnar Carlsson, MS ’09, PhD ’09, as one of the 10 most brilliant people of 2016, for having "made a specialty of solving computationally tough questions—from how to route 1,000 delivery trucks most efficiently to getting airplane parts to the correct hangars around the world in the right order — using the power of math."  Professor Carlsson is a visiting scholar with ICME through the end of 2016.  Read the article:
