ICME Xpo Research Symposium

Karianne Bergen, poster presentation
Monday, June 6, 2016

More than 200 faculty, students, and industry partners attended this year's ICME Xpo research symposium on May 20, 2016.

The event started with a poster session, featuring 45 posters highlighting the latest ICME research. ICME PhD and MS students and faculty presented on a wide range of topics from using deep learning to study mortgage risk, to enhanced DNA imaging using super-resolution microscopy, to using seismic noise to track thawing permafrost. During the second half of the poster sessions, attendees were treated to a demonstration of the Hana Immersive Visualization Environment (HIVE).

After the poster session, attendees listened to a series of nine vision talks given by ICME-affiliated faculty from the Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Management Science & Engineering, Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Statistics and Biomedical Data Science departments.

Videos of all of the ICME Xpo faculty vision talks are available here.
