Hotel Reservations

Thursday, February 28, 2008 to Saturday, March 1, 2008
Stanford University, Stanford, CA

The Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (iCME) and the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University have reserved two blocks of rooms at special prices for the evenings of February 28th, February 29th, and March 1st of 2008 for out-of-town participants in our two Gene Golub events. The blocks of rooms are available at:

To obtain these special rates, you must directly contact the hotel property yourself and indicate that you wish to receive the ICME rate. The special rates indicated above will be available either until the room blocks sell out or until February 7th (for the Sheraton) and January 27th (for the Stanford Guest House) respectively, whichever occurs first. Transportation to the Stanford academic campus from both the above hotels is available Mondays through Fridays via the Marguerite Shuttle (no service is available on the weekend). For further information, please visit:

Please note that on the weekends, one can park freely on campus. (Permit parking is strictly enforced on campus Mondays through Fridays, so that parking on campus on Mondays through Fridays up to 4 pm requires finding and paying for hourly parking; parking is free after 4 pm.)

Below are additional hotels that are often used by visitors to Stanford University. However, no special rates are available from the hotels below in connection with the Gene Golub events:

The approximate hotel rates given above assume that one books one's room well in advance.
